This Brushed ESC can be used with Lithium Polymer batteries with the use of an external Low Voltage Cutoff. The standard ESC cutoff cuts off at 5V, which is too low for 2-Cell Lithium Batteries. Proper cutoff voltage for a 2-Cell Lithium Polymer battery is 6.0V.
